Cedar Model

The cedar & rosewood classical guitar model is a powerful instrument with a piano type bass response and a crisp treble voicing.  The design is inspired by instruments made by Ignacio Fleta in the 1960's and 70's with a very similar body shape, depth and material selection.  The cedar model also features a soundboard bracing pattern developed by Fleta which uses a 9 fan bracing pattern (as opposed to the more common 7 fan) and double braces for the upper portion of the design (visible in the photo gallery below), the effect of this bracing creates a controlled response to the guitars overtone production and volume.

The cedar & rosewood model is made from aged materials including Western red cedar soundboard, back & sides are aged Indian rosewood with an ebony fingerboard, Brazilian or Madagascar rosewood bridge with a very thin French polish finish with fine quality tuners.

Spruce Model

Spruce Model

The spruce with rosewood or maple model is an instrument designed for a more intimate performance, with a beautiful treble voicing and bass response.  The design for this instrument developed over a couple of years through discussions with renowned luthier and mentor Richard Howell.  The spruce model uses a slightly smaller body size than the cedar model and features a soundboard bracing pattern  which uses a the traditional 7 fan bracing pattern.

The spruce model is made from aged materials including Swiss alpine soundboard, back & sides are aged Indian rosewood with an ebony fingerboard, Brazilian or Madagascar rosewood bridge with a very thin French polish finish with fine quality tuners.
